BINDU ~ATHVIKA~ Khyber emerald x diamond ring

The pieces in my BINDU collection are inspired by ancient Indian Temple jewels.
The process lives on in traditional South Indian jewels, as well as in Rajasthani and Marathi jewellery. Gold granules are individually soldered onto a gold base. The technique is called ‘RAWA’ or ‘RAVA’ … and I love it to pieces! 
I have stylised that thought into a more contemporary sensibility with my BINDU capsule . featuring Khyber region emeralds, known for their bright and glowing minty neon green hues. similar in composition to Colombian emeralds. 
Vivid bright green 8 x 6 mm Khyber emerald surrounded by 1.6 mm diamonds. All earth mined. Emerald might have some clear oil but no coloured oil or filler. 
A gentle nod to my inspiration, with the Bindu dots of gold circling the band. All in buttery 14k yellow gold.
