~ MOJAVE ~ Antique American turquoise ring

A tremendous piece of American History…
This piece was purchased on my 2024 visit to Los Angeles…this is the only piece I bought and the only piece I saw that I could not pass up. 
Spiderweb turquoise is extremely rare, and has special significance for the Original people of North America; such as the Navajo and Apache. 
The solid, untreated turquoise is framed by ocean sourced pearls, and set in beautiful slightly rosy XRF tested 10k yellow gold.
Ring size is about a 7-7.5, face size is about 17 x 15 mm 
While turquoise itself was used in amulets and ceremonies for everything from welcoming rain to war protection; certain tribes considered spiderweb turquoise to be especially potent in capturing dreams and blessings. 
MOJAVE is a Pre mandatory hallmarking antique, harking her back to approximately the 1800’s.
