TRAVEL JEWELLERY faux stone and gold ring

This chunky and very emerald-like stone is in fact NOT an emerald.

It is made with a new fangled lab created crystal composition, which is formed in tones of the gemstone it is mimicking (in this case an emerald) complete with jardin and inclusions that are very hard to discern from real emeralds to the naked eye.

Face size is 17 x 15 mm with a depth of about 9 mm. It is about 6.5-7 on the MOHS scale. So about as hard as quartz (topaz / amethyst / citrine etc) . The primary composition is silica & alumina which is also core mineral compositions of several earth mined gemstones.

In terms of care, I would avoid soap, bleach, chlorine, salt water etc as you would a real gemstone.

‘Travel jewellery’ is basically faux gemstones set in real gold, easy to travel with and wear on the daily- and if you break it or lose it (or god forbid it gets stolen) it’s not going to crush you!

A real emerald this size, colour and clarity would break the bank, but our travel number, doesn’t!
