~STARLIGHT~ Lightning Ridge opal ring

Beautiful deep bodied Australian Lightning Ridge opal, 15 x 7 mm face size, set with alternating earth mined rose and brilliant cost diamonds.
The brilliant cuts are 2 mm in face size each and the rose cuts are 1.5 mm in face size each, total diamond weight is just short half a carat at 0.48 carats. 
The opal itself has flashing sparkle of primarily blue and green.
This is the second ring I’ve made with the alternating diamond halo, the idea was taken from how chunky and organic old mine cut diamonds shine, I wanted to mimic a similar effect using two different cut diamond types so the light reflects in a more interesting and asymmetrical way. 
Full face is about 19 x  11 mm and the setting is my Victorian inspired lifted prong. Ring size 6.75 resizable at cost. 14k yellow gold.
